Research on scattered reports of slowness on the iPad

Recently discovered, was a published report that discusses issues in Apples last update. These issues date back to iOS 14.1 where there were some experimental updates that cause issues with slowness. One developer talked about the fixes noted below >>>

1. There is a setting in this Safari "Advanced" area that needs to be turned off

You will go to Settings >

Then click on Safari >

At the very bottom click on Advanced >

Once on this page you will disable the experimental feature that is...

GPU Process: Canvas Rendering >

Once you have done all of this we recommend going back one page and clearing your browsing history and restarting your device. The developer discussed this issue was causing random websites to have severe interruptions in service.

2. Second process you should perform on your device to improve the speed and connectivity.

Go into your settings >

Scroll down to safari >

Scroll down to the very bottom where it says advanced >

Then you’ll want to click on website data >

At the bottom of that page it will say remove website data >

It will ask you what you want to remove now… click here to see a vast improvement >

3. Third process Remove Safari from iCloud backup.

Go to Settings >

Click on iCloud at the top >

A list of apps will appear >

Then deselect Safari >

This will disconnect the saving of history to iCloud for safari (The developer says in his article the synchronization of the Icloud Backup for browser history puts a significant strain on the optimization of the connection). Disconnecting this will improve the experience.

After doing these three steps it is recommended that you power down and restart your device. Also remember the second step and cache clearing should be done weekly since we post new code every week to the program.

Please let us know your feedback as to how this works to improve your experience. It seemed to work in our trials.
