When adding equipment, you have two options: using our universal data or selecting Use Local Data.
Universal Data (Recommended)
This pulls in standardized information maintained within the program, including descriptions, images, and available brochure links (when provided).
It ensures consistency across proposals and requires little to no manual setup.
To use our universal database, simply leave the Use Local Data box unchecked within the unit.
If information or images do not pull in for a unit, please let us know using the chat feature in the bottom right-hand corner of the program, and we will get it added.
Use Local Data
This allows you to override the universal data and enter your own custom description, image, and details for the unit.
This is useful if you want to tailor how the equipment appears in proposals or if the unit is not available in our system.
Dealers are responsible for maintaining any Local Data entered. We do not manage or update Local Data for individual accounts.
Important Note on Brochure Links with Local Data
When using Local Data, brochure links are not automatically clickable like they are with universal data.
If you want to include a clickable brochure link, you’ll need to enter it using basic HTML.
Example:
<a href="https://example.com/brochure.pdf" target="_blank">View Brochure</a>
This will display as a clickable “View Brochure” link in the proposal.
Without using HTML, the link will appear as plain text and won’t be clickable.
If you’re unsure which option to use, universal data is typically the easiest and most consistent choice, while Local Data is best when customization is needed.
